Debashi began as a question about weight. What does it mean to wear an object every day — to choose one thing over many? I answered with a single ring. I have been answering, every piece since.
The studio is small — a single bench above a clockmaker, in the third arrondissement of Paris. I draw in the mornings and cast in the afternoons, and the work moves slowly, on purpose. Each piece is shaped first in wax, then in fire, then in patience.
Every piece is cast in eighteen karat gold, in our atelier, by master goldsmiths who have spent decades learning where to stop. We cast in small numbers — never more than thirty of a single design — and we sign the back.
I believe in the slow hour. In the made thing. In the object that lasts past the moment that asked for it. I believe, mostly, in your time.

The work is the work. It is photographed on people I love, kept in pouches, handed down. It is, sometimes, the only piece of jewellery a person owns. That is the kind of object I want to make.
